David was a Champion. The Bible tells us that David did everything to the best of his ability. He didn’t just play his harp, he played it with excellence. When he tended his sheep he did it the best he could. When he slung the stone that killed Goliath, it wasn’t by accident. It wasn’t just a lucky throw. David had practiced with his slingshot year after year out in the shepherd’s fields killing bears and lions. He was extremely talented with that slingshot. Some experts say he could hit a small bull’s eye at more than 100 feet away!
In the same way, if we want to see excellence in our lives, we need to live with purpose. In this day and age, if you’re not growing, then you’re at a disadvantage. If you’re at the same skill level this year as you were five years ago, then you’re missing the mark. It’s time to step it up and step out in faith. Whatever you are doing, do it with all your might and all your strength! Keep growing, keep learning, keep improving, and as you do your best will come out, God will bless the fruit of your labor. He will pour out His “super” on your “natural” and cause you to rise higher then you ever have before. Higher into the life of victory that He has in store for you. Remember it’s called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory not for victory. Keep fighting!

God loves to build champions. This might explain some of the pain in your life.  Being a champion requires enduring pain.  Training camp is not a walk in the park.

We don’t object when we win, we just groan when we loose.  He has high aspirations for you.  God envisions you with your hand raised in the end.  He won’t stop until he is finished… He wants you to be a Champion In Christ!
