In our world today, most people are used to having all the modern technologies like computers, cell phones, television, and video games. There is really nothing wrong with any of those things as long as we put God before our things. This week’s scripture tells us, that we need to stop and “be still”. That we need to know that He is God. You will find this to be true especially when you’re facing the challenges of life. During these times it’s easy to want to run to a friend or talk about our problems with a family member but at some point, you have to stop and say, “God, I rest in You. I know You hold me in the palm of Your hand.”
Think about it, our battles are spiritual battles. The people in our lives and the things we acquire aren’t the source of our problems, the forces of darkness are. When you choose to be still and know that our God is bigger than any problem you might have, then you are putting yourself in a position of God’s strength. So, take time to be still before God. Let His love cover you. Let Him refresh you by His Spirit so you can see His victory in every area of your life! Remember it’s called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory not for victory. Keep fighting!
