“Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand”.
God wants to give you the heart of a champion and teach you to “fight the good fight of the faith” with the power of Christ within. Isn’t that awesome? You aren’t stuck with today’s faulty fighting style. You aren’t condemned to be on your back struggling to get on your feet the entire round- Like a diamond, you are being polished to bring out Christ’ brilliants. Even if you’ve been knocked down by worry every round of your life up to this point in the fight, things can and will change. So what if you started the fight by throwing lies? You don’t have to finish the fight that way.
Where did we get the idea we can’t change our fighting style? From whence come statements such as “My best punch is worry” or, “I can’t block pessimistic leg kicks”. Who says? Our championship is in Jesus and only he can change our hearts. He wants us to have a heart like his-the heart of a champion.
Remember, it is called a fight for a reason. However, we fight from victory, not for victory. Keep Fighting!
